Taught by Sandra Gay. Sandra Gay is an educator, poet, black historian and life-long theatre-maker. A native of Brooklyn, Sandra received her teaching degree from Fordham University with an emphasis on Theatre. She has taught workshops and classes in New York, Oakland CA, Nigeria and Puerto Rico. She teaches an ongoing class for “people of a certain age” or “POCA” as she calls it at Witherspoon Church in Indianapolis. Witherspoon participants are more than welcome to join the Phoenix group as well.
