IndyStar calls it the “Super Bowl of jazz,” and one of five finalists will win a prize valued over $200,000. The Premiere Series features each finalist performing solo and trio sets at the Jazz Kitchen over the course of several months. Next up is Paul Cornish.
Hailing from Houston, Paul Cornish was awarded a fellowship to attend the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz at UCLA and continues to reside in Los Angeles. He is a passionate advocate for the music of female composers.
