Richard II

Presented by IndyFringe at IndyFringe Indy Eleven Theatre

Bard Fest Presents: Richard II
When the rightful King Richard II exiles cousin Bolingbroke and seizes his property to fund a war abroad, Bolingbroke sows dismay in the kingdom and amasses an army to unseat the king. Filled with searing political struggle and insidious murder plots, this sharp adaptation is performed with a cast of women and non-binary actors, and set in a women’s correctional facility. Incisive and riveting, Richard II asks, “what makes you worthy to wear a crown?”
