Harrison Center First Friday Gallery Opening

Presented by Harrison Center at Harrison Center for the Arts

Hugo & the Fish Purse by Kyle Ragsdale in the Harrison Gallery and Gallery Annex. An exhibit inspired by Ragsdale’s recent journeys to Florence, Cinque Terra, and Sienna Italy. New paintings and prints reference ancient stories of miracles and longing inhabited by saints, bears, angels, and a very magical fish.

Indy Impressions by Roy Boswell in the City Gallery. This collection of impressionistic oil paintings depicts scenes of Autumn in downtown Indianapolis showing the ever-passing moments and movement of downtown Indy.

XVIII: Perspective by members of The EIGHTEEN Art Collective in the Speck Gallery. The collective of Indianapolis-based and civically engaged Black visual artists showcase a range of various works consisting of acrylic and aerosol paintings, latex, cement, and other mixed media.

Endless Broken Heart by Caleb John Smith in the Hank & Dolly’s Gallery. A series of cryptic photographs explore the powerlessness associated with grief. This exhibit will also feature 3-dimensional installations involving cow bones, goose feathers, and other found objects.

– Indiana Plein Air Painters Association, a juried Member group exhibit in the Underground Gallery. This exhibit features landscapes and various outdoors images of Indiana and beyond.

All shows will open at 6 p.m. Friday, November 4th.

In-person gallery tours will open for visitors Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Online galleries will open on November 5th. Make an appointment or view the online galleries at harrisoncenter.org/buy-art.

Special Senior Hours are every Friday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. No appointment is needed.
