IndyStar calls it the “Super Bowl of jazz,” and one of five finalists will win a prize valued at over $200,000. The Premiere Series features each finalist performing solo and trio sets at the Jazz Kitchen. Finalist Isaiah J. Thompson is next up with two sets on Saturday February 25.
Isaiah is a pianist, composer and bandleader from West Orange, NJ who now calls Harlem home. He was featured on the Golden Globe-nominated soundtrack for Motherless Brooklyn and has been named a Steinway Artist.
