Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis: A Conversation & Opening Reception

Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis: A Conversation & Opening Reception

Presented by Herron Galleries at Herron School of Art and Design

Museum of Broken Relationships founders Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić will discuss the origins and growth of the Zagreb-based museum, the creative processes behind their work, and the power of emotional objects and stories.

The conversation, moderated by IUPUI professors Lois H. Silverman and Laura M. Holzman, will situate the Museum of Broken Relationships Indianapolis exhibition within the museum’s global practice of crowd-sourcing everyday objects and stories of broken relationships from communities around the world.

Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić are co-founders of the Museum of Broken Relationships, based in Zagreb, Croatia.

Lois H. Silverman is Professor of Museum Studies, Public Scholar of Museum Education, and Director of Graduate Studies for the Museum Studies Program at IUPUI.

Laura M. Holzman is Associate Professor of Art History and Museum Studies, Public Scholar of Curatorial Practices and Visual Art, and Director of the Museum Studies Program at IUPUI.
