Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key Awards Ceremonies

This exhibition will showcase over 90 Central Indiana Gold Key Art and Writing Award winners from 28 categories—including architecture, painting, flash fiction, poetry, printmaking, science fiction & fantasy, and more.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Award exhibition will be on display in the Marian University Art Gallery (MUAG) located in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the MUAG located in Marian Hall from February 17 – March 24, 2023.  The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Ceremonies will take place on Sunday, March 5, 2023, between 1-2pm and 3:30-4:30pm in the Marian Hall Theater.  The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Presented by nonprofit organization Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the 100th Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the country’s longest-running and most prestigious scholarship and recognition program for creative students in grades 7–12. Since the program’s founding in 1923, the Awards have fostered the creativity and talent of millions of students and include a distinguished list of alumni such as Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol, all of whom received recognition in the Awards when they were teens.

MUAG (Evans Center) is located on the north end of the second floor of the College of Osteopathic Medicine on the Marian University campus, and MUAG (Marian Hall) is located on the northeast end of the second floor of Marian Hall on the Marian University campus.
