Join the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Pike Performing Arts Center for a concert of works by Claude Debussy, Jean Sibelius, Aaron Copland, and Eliza Brown.
The Philharmonic Orchestra presents A Pleasant Afternoon Pursuing Dreams on Sunday, May 21 at 3:00 P.M. at the Pike Performing Arts Center. Through the music of Sibelius, Debussy, Copland, and Brown, the orchestra will explore music that creates a feeling of peace and tranquility. The music selections include “Filaments” by Indiana composer Eliza Brown (b. 1985) and the popular “Appalachian Spring” by Aaron Copland (1990-1990).
A pre-concert talk by the Conductor Orcenith Smith will be held in the Studio Theater in the Pike Performing Arts Center at 2:30.
Tickets are $5-$10. Children 5 and under are free with a ticket.
