Normalize Being Yourself is a concept that dawned on Reynolds while hanging out with pals and acting goofy. “Why can’t we all just be ourselves?” Reynolds wondered, and he poured that message into his own abstract art centering around goofy faces using paint along with a variety of media including leaves, pine needles, plastic bags and hairspray.

For February, Reynolds has created 30 separate canvases that act as a puzzle or mosaic called “The Universal Puzzle of Love” to stress the importance, beauty and profoundness of love in the world.

About Aidan Reynolds

Born and raised in Indiana, Aidan Reynolds considers himself both a city and a country boy, and enjoys outdoor rural activities along with city exploration in Indianapolis. He discovered his love of art as a child and explored fashion design along with photo and video editing before settling into his current work, often dealing in mental health awareness.

“I was super depressed, and was planning on ending my life after high school because I felt like I wasn’t good enough for the world,” Reynolds confessed. “Luckily, I realized that I’m an awesome human being and so is everyone else. I channel a lot of the energy in my paintings and poetry into mental health awareness, which can be really hard sometimes as I have trauma around this, but it’s worth it knowing that I could help people who also may be struggling.”

About the Full Circle Nine Gallery

The Full Circle Nine Gallery operates as an artist cooperative gallery, with each of the member artists and the board dividing gallery duties and artists roles. The artists will work together to help each other advance in skill and practice, as well as to bring success to the gallery. With over two dozen artists occupying a large, three-room space of the more factory-reminiscent portion of the Circle City Industrial Complex, Full Circle Nine offers a wide variety of art forms, media, and approaches.

The gallery has regular hours: 6-10pm on Fridays, 12-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
