What is Rock E Bassoon? People don’t believe it until they see it! REB is a rock band comprised of 6 tricked out, electric bassoons and a kickin’ drummer playing classic rock like Zeppelin, The Beatles and Queen to hits from Beyoncé and Britney Spears and everything in between.

Based in Indianapolis, REB is most known nationally for their appearance on The Bob and Tom Show which was heard by over 2 million people. Internationally, they were recently featured artists for the 2021 conference of the International Double Reed Society. A recent recording with YouTube sensation Joshua Lee Turner (600,000+ subscribers) will be released in early 2022. A fixture of the Indianapolis music scene, REB has been featured in the Indianapolis Star, on WTHR TV, and on WFYI-FM; have played for the Indianapolis Colts; and and have been one of the top draws at Tonic Ball and other major events, drawing large enthusiastic crowds wherever they play.

REB is made up of world-class professional musicians with busy performance careers. Members of REB have performed with The Rolling Stones, The Who, Aretha Franklin, Yo-Yo Ma, Art Garfunkel, etc., etc.; are also members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra; are top jazz and studio musicians in Indy and beyond; and teach music.

“As long as you have bassoon bands, rock ‘n’ roll will live forever!”

– Don Stuck, Q95-Indy’s Classic Rock

Beatty and the Bayonets mixes smooth groves, dynamic vocal harmonies, and punching horns in their neo-soul sound. Inspired by acts such as Leon Bridges, The Dip, and Durand Jones, front man Keith Beatty writes soulful, vibe-forward tunes of love and loss. Jazz and opera vocalist Chloe Boelter adds exquisite harmonies, supported by a gospel-driven rhythm section and blues saxophone.

“For Your Love,” the first single by Beatty and the Bayonets was released in October 2023 to be followed soon by the band’s first EP. The band plays regularly at festivals in and around Indianapolis and will be embarking on a Midwest tour soon to promote their debut EP.

Since kicking off her music career in 2019, Emma Peridot has been on a mission to create music that packs a punch while staying true to her authentic self. Her genre-blending sound, fusing indie pop, pop rock, and electropop, has solidified her distinct musical identity.
