New Exhibits at the Museum!

Attention: Sherlock Holmes Fans! (February – September, 2013)

How do you envision Holmes’ living room and bedroom?  Plan to visit the museum and experience two highly detailed settings of Holmes’ 221 B Baker Street, created by noted miniaturist the late LaVerne Sullivan, Kansas City, MO.  Also on loan from the Sullivan family are a Medieval Armory museum and four other exquisitely detailed exhibits.

Marghab Linens

Marghab = fine linens just as Tiffany = fine art glass. If you love fine linens, you will certainly plan to add a trip to the museum to view these exquisite pieces.

Marghab Linens were created in Madeira, Portugal between 1932-1978 and were considered the finest embroidery crafted at the time. Emile Marghab, Inc. was renowned for its unrelenting pursuit of perfection. Only the best embroiderers were hired and only perfect work was accepted. Imagine spending months creating one piece of 85,000 or more stitches!  During the company’s reign the exquisite linens were sought after by politicians, movie stars, diplomats and industrialists due to their unmatched quality, exacting standards and beauty of design.  Please don’t miss this opportunity to these beautiful pieces for yourself.
