A part of IDADA’s First Friday festivities, Wax Poetic will be an evening of poetry from some of Indy’s premier wordsmiths. The event will be a beautiful juxtaposition of visual art, literature, and theatre. Patrons will able to experience the art of live performance poetry and the walls of the Indie Indy Artist Colony will be lined with signed handwritten works to be sold for $15 a copy, as well as beautiful photographs related to or inspired by poetry and poets. 



There will be 2 stages inside the gallery and a soap box outside with a rotation of over 20 performance poets throughout the night. Wine and light snacks will be provided. CD’s, DVD’s, and books from the participating poets will also be on sale.
