at Unknown

Learn about pioneer life in Central Indiana as you take a guided tour of Johnson County Museum’s Hendricks Cabin, a part of this area since the 1830s. The cabin tours will be available from noon to 3pm on August 24, and will be conducted by Katie Andrews Potter, author of "Going Over Home", a young adult novel depicting the challenges experienced by early settlers in Indiana. Ms. Potter will appear in pioneer costume portraying Sally Hendricks, who resided in the cabin for many years with her husband, Lewis.

Hendricks Cabin is located on the north side of the Johnson County Museum parking lot, at 135 North Main Street in downtown Franklin. The main floor of the cabin is accessible by ramp for strollers and wheelchairs. Admission to the Johnson County Museum and Hendricks Cabin is free of charge.
