Recycle Fest

at Unknown

Through collaboration between Indy Parks, Indiana Living Green, and MOKB Presents, the inaugural Recycle Fest will take place at MacAllister Amphitheatre inside Garfield Park on July 27. Recycle Fest combines environmentally responsible initiatives through an all day festival featuring live music, demonstrations, activities and education.  On-site activities include Recycling based demonstrations from Recycle Force & Republic Recycling Also, Recycled Art from State Farm; attendees can create their own masterpieces out of recycled materials with prizes awarded several different categories.
PATTERN, a nonprofit focused on uniting and growing the fashion community in Indianapolis, will be accepting donations of gently used clothing to be "recycled" & styled into chic ensembles. Plenty of eats from your favorite food trucks including Spice Box, Byrnes Grilled Pizza, Nicey Treats, Cutie Pies Pizza and more, while Sun King Brewery will also be on hand.

The diverse range of local and emerging talent will provide the main stage centerpiece with bands performing 40 minute sets comprised of half original material and half "recycled" cover songs. The 2013 performing artists include The Main Squeeze, KO, Hotfox, Matsiko World Orphan Choir, Tax Brandywine, Rodeo Ruby Love, Blue Moon Revue, and The Bonesetters.
