Beth Horner is a spoken word artist renowned for her wit. Not only are her tales funny and sharply drawn, they also deftly bring together heart and humor. Beth’s program focuses on family, freedom and a little naughtiness. Four wide-eyed children are treated to their father’s rendition of Poe’s "The Raven" as they drift to sleep: a songwriter fights city hall by changing a town’s sewage policy: a woman on her way to her mother’s hospital room finds herself careening through a barrier into a construction zone– and a bewildered motorcycle cop sums it all up in one simple word of advice. This event is interpreted for the deaf and hearing impaired.
