Ancient Aires and Dances (2011)
Respighi’s beautiful interpretation of Renaissance music themes was David’s inspiration for this piece. There is no plot—just beautiful music. The choreography is influenced by ballet, the society of European royal courts and contemporary dance.
Electric Counterpoint (2011)
Set to a jazz guitar score by Steve Reich, this piece uses continually flowing movement like ocean waves. The effect is hypnotic and uplifting.
Romeo and Juliet Fantasy (2012)
Using Tchaikovsky’s dramatic score, three different couples emerge from the company to tell the story of the star-crossed lovers. This is a sirring piece that beautifully showcases the talened DK dancers.
