Pulse, created by IBC Artistic Director Alyona Yakovleva, follows the evolutionary progression of a young boy and girl who dream of becoming famous artists: the boy, a percussionist, and the girl, a ballerina. With fantastic percussion music by guest artist Daryl Randall, a participant of the acclaimed NAMM Show in Chicago, as well as IBC students Alex Ray and Ethan Holder, Pulse combines the very best of IBC’s award-winning contemporary ballet repertoire along with the top hits of yesterday and today. Emphasizing the ways in which dance and music are so intricately intertwined and the ways in which art inspires life, and vice versa, this mesmerizing production will transport the audience through a journey for the senses complete with uplifting music, powerful choreography, and inspiring visuals.

A unique take on a timeless idea, Pulse ultimately represents the power of dreams and the creative mind, while exploring the inspiration that dancers provide musicians and that musicians provide dancers. Whether you love music, dance, or, both, Pulse is a production that will entertain and delight audiences of all ages.
