A good story isn’t simply told. It is shown to the reader through skillfully constructed scenes that contain a sense of place, revelation of character, dramatic action and dialogue. A well-written scene can be experienced by the reader. Learn how to write strong scenes and use them as building blocks to develop novels, memoirs and creative nonfiction.
