The Legacy Cabaret was created to (1) celebrate the past by presenting a musical tribute to renowned artists of the music industry; (2) honor the present by commemorating a local living legend; and (3) insure the future by raising general operating support for the Asante Children’s Theatre.

Legacy Cabaret II will be filled with a host of guest stars from Indianapolis, paying tribute to musical legends who—though they are now gone—live forever through their timeless music. These guest stars include recording artists Bashiri Asad (the Xenobia Greene band), Joyce Licorish (the Soul Candy band, Dreamgirls), Renee King (the Rhythm Park band), R&B vocalist Deaon “Forever” Smith, Jazz Vocalist Catrece Young and LeToryia Gowdy whose soulful vocals were recently featured in
("STAR MIDNIGHT").

In addition, Asante Children’s Theatre will present the "2013 LIVING LEGEND AWARD" to Mr. Carl Hines for his local and national accomplishments as an IPS Math Teacher and highly praised jazz musician.
