Captivated by nature, Beethoven’s adventurous "Pastoral" Symphony evokes birdcalls, the power of a thunderstorm and the many joys of human connection to the earth. While Beethoven focused on the countryside, Mozart sought inspiration in his friends and family. Principal Oboist Jennifer Christen performs Mozart’s expressive, melodious and sole Oboe Concerto, originally written for Mozart’s friend and colleague, Giuseppe Ferlendis.
