“Of all the locally produced art currently available in Indianapolis, Positive World, Neutral Culture: Assassin Series by Bryan Moore at Indy Indie Artist Colony, opening November 1st , is the show that typifies the Indianapolis art experience. Moore, a Ben Davis graduate, a Herron School of Art trained draftsman, and a Fountain Square resident creates art that is emblematic of the artist’s experience living and producing within the boundaries of the Hoosier State of mind. A consummate creator and an artist’s artist, Moore is known for his diligence and focus. Moore rarely shows in galleries so the opportunity to see his newest five paintings will be a supreme pleasure. That’s not to say you haven’t seen his work recently. Have you been to Fountain Square Brewery? Moore designed their logo and bottle art. Enjoyed photo editorials in Nuvo of Indianapolis music and art events? Moore was behind the camera. Moore’s ability to translate, mirror, and reflect our surrounding environment is evident in his photography and his current painting collection. His uncanny ability to capture static, minute gesture in pulsing rooms of sound fluidly melds into his brush stroke in the studio.” Kelly Stone, Indianapolis Art Historian.

Positive World, Neutral Culture: Assassin Series is an artistic metaphor regarding the pervasive commodification, re-appropriation and denigration of classic imagery in contemporary media through the subtle skewing of perception. His canvases are large, highly detailed, and impeccably balanced. Moore’s palette is striking and his color theory is superb.
