The Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis presents a concert of colorful music that portrays equally colorful personalities in “Portraits of Personalities.” Orcenith Smith conducts this second concert in the Phil’s 2013-2014 season, Making More Music that Matters. The historic Athenaeum Theater provides a beautiful setting for this exciting presentation.

BERLIOZ "Roman Carnival" Overture
BARBER Adagio for Strings

COPLAND "Lincoln Portrait"

Sondra Hayes, 2011 recipient of the Frank Basile Emerging Stories Fellowship, will narrate Copland’s Lincoln Portrait.
