The Art Bank is pleased to announce that Andrew Severns will be the Featured Artist for the month of December. His show, “Severns’ Canon: Art Meets Science,” will open in the Feature Room during the IDADA First Friday Gallery Walk, December 6th. He has also chosen the daVinci Pursuit, a local organization that brings together art and science in community projects, as the Featured Charity for December.

Geometry-inspired pop artist Andrew Severns has created a system of applying higher dimensional mathematics to composition. Severns’ work merges ancient science with a modern understanding of geometry. Considering art an active form of alchemy, Severns aims to ‘transform’ the world by implementing and encouraging public art projects. “We color the world with our own interpretations. My work is to unveil the paradise of the world around us,” Severn said. Working with a variety of media, Severns is excited to premiere his one-of-a-kind show for December.

More information about his work can be found at www.andrewseverns.com.
