On Saturday evening, the JCC premiered the award-winning documentary, Nicky’s Family, as a highlight of the 15th annual Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts. The response to this uplifting movie was so overwhelming that the JCC has added a second showing of the film: Wednesday, Nov 20 at 2pm.
This extraordinary documentary tells the mostly unknown story of Sir Nicholas Winton, a young Englishman who organized the rescue of 669 Jewish Czech and Slovak children just before the outbreak of World War II.
