MLK Day / FREE Admission Day at Conner Prairie

at Unknown

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, African-American history, and civil rights for all with fun and educational activities at Conner Prairie – and with FREE admission!
Conner Prairie will open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 20. Tickets are not needed.
Learn about American civil rights and hear and share stories about the civil rights movements, and what it meant to different people. Add your own splash of color to our community paint-by-numbers mural that honors civil rights.
Learn about African-American entrepreneurs, and their impact on Indiana and the U.S. Meet two budding entrepreneurs – do you think they have what it takes to succeed? Listen to their business plans and pitches, then decided if you would invest in their business.
Step onto our “Anything Can Happen” stage and take part in a show. Play historical and modern games including hoop-and-stick, nine-pins and board games. Build something fantastical with large, crazy-shaped blue foam pieces in our Imagination Playground.
This is also a great chance to experience Conner Prairie’s ongoing indoor activities for free, including experimenting with wind, energy and electricity in Create.Connect, getting creative in Craft Corner, and running a mini train station, market, farm, orchard and more in Discovery Station.
