The Art Bank is pleased to announce that Zuimeng Cao will be the Featured Artist for March, 2014. He will present “The Glance of Chinese Painting,” a collection of his meticulous Chinese artwork showcasing landscapes, figures, and story illustration. His expanded presentation will be located in the Feature Room, premiering on First Friday, March 7th .

Zuimeng Cao is from Manchuria in Northeast China. He graduated with an art major from the Arts Institute in China. He became a professor at the Arts Institution in China. He won numerous awards at national and international levels. Snow and ice painting is his hallmark. Zuimeng Cao is among the most respected Chinese painting artists who developed his method as he exerts this art form to its fullest. Artists in ancient China would meditate and search within themselves for inner beauty and purity in order to give something virtuous to their audience. Traditional Chinese culture greatly inspired him and his work, particularly when he began practicing Falun Gong (a spiritual practice of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance). His talent and achievement did not make him or his family immune from persecution by the Chinese Communist Regime. For the safety of his loved one and for the love of his art, they chose to flee China and were later rescued by the United Nation Exodus Program and relocated in the Hoosier Land! “Admiration of God and pursuit of the noble art are the fundamental attributes of humanity. I am eager to integrate into the art community in Indianapolis and contribute my talent and knowledge to the community.”
