An Evening with Donald Davidson

An Evening with Donald Davidson

at Unknown

Indiana Landmarks' new Indiana Automotive affinity group offers its first program — Indianapolis Motor Speedway historian extraordinaire Donald Davidson sharing his astoundingly comprehensive knowledge of one of Indiana’s premiere landmarks. He’s an entertaining speaker who’s tough to stump on any question about the famous Brickyard. Known for his radio program "The Talk of Gasoline Alley," Davidson, covers the fascinating history of the Speedway — a National Historic Landmark. You’ll have a chance to ask Davidson questions. You’ll also learn about the events planned by Indiana Automotive Historical Society, a group that celebrates the early auto visionaries and their products and promotes the preservation of the cars, the factories and showrooms, the homes of auto moguls, and the landscaped parkways and roadside architecture birthed by the auto age. Finally, stick around to view never before screened home movies of Indy 500s, including the tragic 1964 contest that took the life of Eddie Sachs.
