Restless Spirit: The Inventions of Harry Weese

Restless Spirit: The Inventions of Harry Weese

at Unknown

Although he had a national reputation and designed more than 1,000 buildings, Modernist architect Harry Weese remains nearly absent from critical analysis and the history of modern architecture. On March 13, 2014, artist and architect T. Kelly Wilson comes to Indiana Landmarks Center to discuss Weese's early works, with a focus on the architect's work in Columbus, Indiana. Sponsored by Indiana Modern, an affinity group of Indiana Landmarks, the lecture precedes a symposium on Weese, presented by the Indiana University Center for Art+Design in Columbus, April 4-5, 2014. Renowned architects and design experts from across the country will gather to study, visit and discuss Weese's significance in the history of modern architecture. T. Kelly Wilson is the Director of the Indiana University Center for Art+Design in Columbus and an Associate Professor of Indiana University. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.
