Indiana Landmarks and Storytelling Arts of Indiana partner to present "If These Walls Could Tell," a series of original stories about the people and historic places of Indiana. The fourth story in the series shares the history of Brookside in Fort Wayne, a 25,000-square-foot home built in 1903 as a "summer cottage" for Bass Foundry mogul John Henry Bass. Today the mansion — winner of Indiana Landmarks Cook Cup for Outstanding Restoration — is home to the University of St. Francis. Storyteller Lou Ann Homan takes her audience inside the exquisite house as she chronicles the lives of Mrs. Henry Bass and Catholic Sister Mary JoEllen, two remarkable women who shaped the history of Brookside. A reception follows the performance.
