AUP Presents: Life Upon the Wicked Stage - A Cabaret

at Unknown

Acting Up Productions (AUP) would like to introduce you to Madam Beatrice Tattlesand-Phibbs, a.k.a. “Tilly”. Tilly is an aging Broadway star who grew up in a large family in Nebraska. She was too shy to really fit in anywhere, until she found the stage. Hear the retelling of her life’s journey through story and song April 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13 at Theatre on the Square in Indianapolis.

Life Upon the Wicked Stage is written by soprano Donna DeLonay and AUP Artistic Director R. Brian Noffke with arrangements by Roger Smith. DeLonay can relate to much of Tilly’s life and is excited to tell her story with songs like “I’m the Greatest Star” from Funny Girl, “I Have Dreamed” from The King & I, “As if We Never Said Goodbye” from Sunset Boulevard and even a little Peggy Lee with “Fever.”

Recently located to Indianapolis, DeLonay was one of Florida’s most versatile and powerful vocalists having performed in intimate settings, for special populations, as a recording artists of sacred and popular music, and as soloist for auditoriums packed with thousands of rapt listeners. DeLonay starred in AUP’s An Evening of Cole Porter & Hoagy Carmichael and played Jack’s Mother in Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre’s Into the Woods. DeLonay is also a popular vocal coach in Indianapolis, Chicago, and Florida.
