art & design meet fashion Runway Show Announced by ASID

A unique runway show bringing together multiple elements of design including fine art, décor and fashion is being hosted by American Society of Interior Designers, Indiana Chapter on Saturday, May 17. This is a fantastic collaboration between local fashion designers and boutiques, interior designs and the fine arts community. Unique event featuring art, décor and apparel benefits INHP

INDIANAPOLIS [April 24, 2014] — The Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) announces a runway show titled art & design meet fashion on Saturday, May 17 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Indiana Design Center (200 S. Rangeline Road). This unique event sponsored by Brizo, a fashion brand for kitchen and bath faucets, brings multiple elements of design together including fine art, décor and apparel. Local fashion icon Berny Martin, Founder of Midwest Fashion Week, is the show’s Creative Director, and Joni Michels and Barry Lantz will serve as the celebrity emcees.

This fun evening will combine a festive atmosphere with two runway shows featuring designs from Indianapolis-based Catou by Berny Martin, Athena's Fashion Boutique by Athena Chaillaux and 7:59 Chic by Tamara Griffin . Original couture chairs created by ASID’s interior designers will also brighten the show’s décor with art provided by Editions LTD Gallery of Fine Art. art & design meet fashion was created by the local chapter of ASID as their annual community service project. Proceeds for the event will benefit the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, the local nonprofit homeownership resource in Marion County. INHP supports neighborhood and community development initiatives and helps working families to become and remain long-term successful homeowners through its lending services, mortgage and credit advising and homeownership and financial education programs.
