Hesperus combines Legend of Zorro with early music to delight audiences at summer festival

Presented by Indianapolis Early Music at Indiana History Center

Hesperus is a multi-cultural and innovative group that focuses on creativity through the expression of early music. In order to achieve this, the group determines a single theme to incorporate into all of their music for the season.

The Legend of Zorro is this year’s theme and audiences will be treated to a delightful program full of music from the Middle Ages to the American Revolution.

Founded in 1979, Hesperus has travelled from across America to Southeast Asia to Europe. Recently, the group has performed at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, Lincoln Center and Carmel Bach Festival. The group consists of four creative and innovative instrumentalists with backgrounds in early music.
