SUMMER NIGHTS: AMERICAN GRAFFITI

SUMMER NIGHTS: AMERICAN GRAFFITI

Presented by Newfields at Indianapolis Museum of Art

Before Star Wars and Indiana Jones, George Lucas wrote a coming of age screenplay about Curt and Steve, best friends and new high school graduates who spend one last night together before leaving for college. Curt (Richard Dreyfuss) is having reservations about leaving the town he grew up in, while Steve (Ron Howard) can’t wait to get to college. Along with two of their friends, Curt and Steve embark on a night filled with drag racing, drive-ins and a sock-hop. Harrison Ford and Suzanne Somers also appear in the Oscar-nominated film.
