The aging Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando), the head of a prominent New York mafia family, is preparing to transfer his operations to his son, World War II veteran Michael. Michael, played by Al Pacino, is reluctant to join his family’s business, hoping instead to build a “normal” life with his girlfriend Kay (Diane Keaton). But when his father is shot down by an aspiring drug dealer, Michael is thrown headfirst into a violent mob war. James Caan and Robert Duvall also star in this Oscar winner.
