TALK UP YOUR ART: A TWO SESSION VIDEO PRODUCTION WORKSHOP Empower yourself as an artist by documenting your best work and creating a video elevator pitch to be posted online!

Video Workshop Overview: This FREE two session workshop will result in participants developing their elevator pitch in writing; documenting three of their best 2-D and/or 3-D art examples in high definition video; practicing and performing their one-minute elevator pitch; and entering their pitch into a teleprompter for a follow up day of video production.

SESSION ONESaturday, May 31, 2014 from 1 – 3 p.m Video pre-production workshop includes: Arts Marketing 101 Presentation: Top tips for marketing yourself as an artist. How to develop your elevator pitch on paper: keeping it short and sweet; talking so people will listen; selling yourself and your work in a concise and powerful way. Includes professional video examples, fill-in-the-blank forms (templates), writing workshop with professional writer to hone your speech, and personal time with a writer to ensure that you are getting your points across. Bring three examples of your best 2-D and/or 3-D work to be documented in HD video. This video will be incorporated in your final, edited elevator speech video. Enter your final pitch document into a teleprompter program for use on session two. Schedule your 15-minute time slot on day two to shoot your elevator pitch

SESSION TWO Saturday, June 7, 2014 is by appointment and space is limited. Video production workshop includes: Shoot your elevator pitch with professional direction. Director will help you get your best possible pitch on video, using neutral backdrop, professional HD camera, lighting and a teleprompter. Your video will be professionally edited and posted online on the Arts Council of Indianapolis’ VIMEO page. Participants will be provided at a later date via email with a link that they can use to promote themselves and share their elevator pitch video with friends, families, and, most of all, with potential clients.
