Moriarty Media and the Fine Arts Committee of The Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis announcea special presentation for artists and other interested persons about US copyright law as it relates to the art world. This special program has been scheduled at the church to be held in the sanctuary on Friday, June 13 from 7 – 9 in the evening. Speaker John Richard Troll of Troll Law, a local law office that specializes in copyright law, trademark law and the law of the internet, will speak about how copyright law affects artists, will provide information on the nuts and bolts of how to register a claim of copyright, and will offer some philosophical food for thought regarding art and the law. Mr. Troll will speak from 7 – 8 and will be available for question and answer from 8 – 9.

Topics covered will include:
How can I protect MY art?
How much of YOUR art can I borrow?
Should I protect MY art or should I encourage YOU to steal it?
Is everyone – yes EVERYONE – an appropriation artist?
