Caught Up

Presented by Asante Children's Theatre of Indianapolis at Unknown

"Caught Up", first performed in June 2011, was written, by Deborah Asante, Kila Adams and Terrance Asante-Doyle to draw attention to an ongoing fact. Youth who use alcohol, tobacco or other drugs are more likely to have unwanted or unplanned sex, an increased incidence of fights, diminished academic performance and a greater likelihood of dropping out of school. In addition, young people tend to follow a pattern of substance use and experimentation, often beginning with tobacco products, moving on to alcohol, marijuana and pills and then to other drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Tamika is surrounded by family and friends caught up in addictions in all its forms as she fights to save her own life.

Due to mature content of this production, we do not recommend this play for children under age 13, unless accompanied by an adult.
