Innovative Recycling with Plastics: A Workshop for Educators

Innovative Recycling with Plastics: A Workshop for Educators

Presented by Newfields at Indianapolis Museum of Art

Join other educators as we make contemporary craft sculpture from recyclable plastic in this half-day workshop. Facilitated by recycled plastics artist David Edgar, this workshop will include an orientation to materials and demonstrations of fundamental techniques. Participants will have time to complete their own display-ready artwork. Participants will be required to bring at least two different colored, CLEANED, typical liquid laundry product bottles.

Consider arriving early to explore IMA galleries on your own for inspiration before the workshop — we recommend visiting the Contemporary Design galleries and Contemporary Art galleries in conjunction with this workshop.

Space is limited to 18 participants, so register early. The first three registered will receive a bag of teacher goodies. Contact Heidi at hdavis-soylu@imamuseum.org by July 25, 2014, to register.

Workshop attendees earn three Professional Growth Plan points. Email Heidi Davis-Soylu to request your PGP Plan certificate after the event.
