Kerry Jackson will be the Featured Artist for the month of July. His featured show, “Summerland: Childhood Memories” will premiere in the Feature Room during the IDADA First Friday Gallery Walk, July 4th. Admission is free. Jackson is also glad that his show will kick off the festivities elsewhere on the Mass Ave block that day, and culminate with the downtown fireworks that evening. He has chosen the Metro Baptist Center as his Featured Organization.

This show will focus more on his personal nostalgia, in a form relatable to those who just wish to cherish childhood memories. “I wanted to present a whimsical and fun look at my summer memories as a child growing up in the south. For those familiar with my work, this is going to be very different than the norm. I hope viewers will have fun thinking about their own summer memories and leave the show with a smile,” says Jackson.

Jackson will also have friends performing Random Acts of Drama along Mass Ave throughout the night.
