This may be the most difficult element of writing prose. In this class we will dig into the complexities of point of view and how the person and tense of a work of prose can either skate off track or keep the reader rooted in the work. We’ll investigate the uses of all the points of view and look at the difference between grammatical point of view and the “focalizer”—the person through whose eyes we see the action unfold.
