Foundation East is throwing a party to mark our first year. Come celebrate with us. You are also invited to an art class by artist Rita Spalding.

For the birthday party, meet artists we have worked with and a few we want to work with.

In the spirit of wine and canvas events, Rita will walk students through composing individual paintings utilizing the basics of color theory, as well as learning to see and appreciate colors like an artist. Beverages and snacks will unlock your inner artist.

A combination of birthday bash, art class and good old fashion fundraiser, we promise you will have a really good time. Event proceeds support future public art on the Eastside.

Foundation East's long term vision is to make the Eastside into the center of public art for Indianapolis – not just neighborhoods in which artists live, but neighborhoods in which they publicly share their art. Past, present and future examples of our work in Irvington include: traffic signal boxes, neighborhood bus rides and street tattoos.
