The Indiana Artists Club annual Member Exhibition features up to 100 pieces in a variety of media and styles, including pastels, oils, watercolors, acrylics and more. Most of the artwork is for sale.
A free opening reception, with light refreshments, will be held at the Columbus Learning Center on Saturday, October 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Shawn Thomas Dingwerth, executive director of the Richmond Museum of Art and author, will speak at the reception at 6:30 p.m. about his new book, “The Richmond Group Artists,” the untold story of a group of artists who developed a distinctive impressionistic style which transformed Richmond into an important center for art in the Midwest. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signature.
The exhibition runs through December 30, 2014. It is free and open to the public, Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours until 10 p.m. on Monday – Thursday through Dec. 15.
