The 2013 APA Christel DeHaan Classical Fellow, Sean Chen, will open the ICO’s 30th season at the new Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts on the campus of Butler University. Kelly Corcoran, a candidate for the Music Director position, conducts the orchestra. The orchestra performs the first excerpt of Composer-in-Residence James Aikman’s new composition Peacemakers, an evolving composition from which excerpts will be premiered over the 30th season. The concert also includes music from Copland, as well as the sparkling and joyous Italian Symphony.
