See The Black Pirate in the Grand Hall at Indiana Landmarks Center, with spooky live organ accompaniment and adult beverages.
Filmed in early Technicolor in 1926, The Black Pirate stars Douglas Fairbanks as a young man seeking revenge by joining the pirate band responsible for his father's death. Some consider Fairbanks to be the first action movie star, and in The Black Pirate he demonstrates his athletic ability in a number of precarious stunt sequences.
A silent comedy and vintage cartoon will precede the feature film.
Door prizes will be given out throughout the evening, and guests are encouraged to dress in costume. We'll award a prize for the best pirate costume! Cash bar.
