Celebrate Hoosier holiday traditions all season long in a winter wonderland with the Indiana Historical Society. This year, IHS will introduce its first Festival of Trees. Guests can also tour an exhibition highlighting IHS’s charming holiday-based photos and celebrate the season with fun, family-friendly activities and events.
Weekend programming will include film screenings, a visit from a vintage Santa, craft-making, face painting and more. Additional after-hours adult programming, like Bah Humbug (Dec. 4) and Good Beers and Ugly Sweaters (Dec. 11) will offer a different holiday twist.
The popular A Christmas Story living room is back, allowing you to step right into a classic movie scene. Have your photo taken next to the famous leg lamp (in a pink bunny suit if desired), or visit the new holiday selfie station.
IHS will also offer two free admission days. Visit on Dec. 6 for the 12th annual Holiday Author Fair (noon – 4 p.m.), or on Saturday, Dec. 20, when you can record a video memory relating to L.S. Ayres and Company that may become part of You Are There: That Ayres Look next spring.
Included with Indiana Experience Admission ($7/adults, $6.50/seniors, $5/ages 5-17)
