Paula Katz and Telene Edington of Edington Katz Projects and Heartland Printworks invite you to the opening reception for Rococo Puffs  on Friday, September 5 .

 Artist Tess Michalik will be present to discuss her work. The location is in the Stutz at 1028 N. Capitol Avenue, B100, Indianapolis, IN 46202.  The exhibition will be on view through October 24. Free parking is available in the visitor lot on Capital Avenue.

Tess Michalik paints emotional topographic landscapes that range from the handheld to larger than life canvases. Using a floral motif, she tells stories of fear and anxiety,  illustrating the vulnerable space where one tries to put feelings into words. 

Michalik was born in Richmond, Virginia in 1987 and currently resides in Indianapolis. In 2010 she received her BFA in painting from Herron School of Art and  Design in Indianapolis and she received her MFA in painting from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois in 2014. She has shown at institutions such as the Rockford Art Museum, Harper College, Murray State University, and the Chicago Union League Civic & Arts Foundation.
