Rad A. Drew Gallery Tour

Presented by Clowes Memorial Hall, Butler Arts Center at Clowes Memorial Hall, Butler Arts Center

Whether landscapes, portraits, still life, or nostalgic domestic scenes, Rad A. Drew’s photographic art conveys emotion, establishes mood, and provides viewers with a new perspective on the ordinary and familiar. His images of Indianapolis portray the city’s landmarks and historic communities in a romantic style often described as reminiscent of old-world artists and the painters of the Hudson River School. Drew’s eclectic exhibition features images from the past 6 years – many created with his iPhone – works from his book, In Good Light, Images of the Circle City, as well as images from Cuba and urban and rural United States.

Drew is an Indianapolis photographic artist who uses digital, mirrorless, and iPhone cameras to create images that capture the spirit of people and places. His creative images have made their way into galleries and juried international competitions showing in California, Texas, Vermont, New York, Canada, and Australia. He is author of two fine art books, In Good Light, Images of the Circle City and Rural Indiana, A Beauty all its Own, and is a contributor to the recently published The Art of iPhone Photography: Creating Great Photos and Art on Your iPhone.
