Primary Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition featuring the dynamic paintings of Martin Kuntz. Inspired by the images of print, online media, and television, Kuntz looks to derive meaning from the seemingly meaningless plethora of images and explore how these images affect the subconscious concerning issues ranging from gender roles and masculinity, to violence, wealth, and death. Kuntz recognizes that we are exposed to an incalculable amount of images on a daily basis, yet rarely do we examine and attempt to place value on the images to which we are exposed. The closing reception will not only feature an exclusive talk with the artist but will be a Halloween celebration complete with food, beverages, and costumes.
