Magnificent Amber artist reception & open studio night

Magnificent Amber artist reception & open studio night

at Harrison Center for the Arts

The Harrison Center for the Arts presents its annual color-themed holiday group show, Magnificent Amber. Over 50 local artists have contributed work to this show, some amber-hued, some inspired by Indiana’s own Booth Tarkington’s novel, The Magnificent Ambersons.

The City Gallery presents Here & There – new work by Shannon Hinkle. Hinkle combines photography, drawing and block printing in this exhibit inspired by her current home city of Indianapolis and future home in Perth, Australia.

Gallery No. 2 features The Pursuit of Happiness (Everything Will Be Gold), new work by Quincy Owens. This show is the culmination of Owens’ Creative Renewal Fellowship.

Hank & Dolly’s Gallery features work by Herron School of Art & Design seniors Amy Applegate, Naomi Carr and Lynnette Sauer.

Indiana author Dan Wakefield will be speaking throughout the evening on the history of Indiana writers.

The Harrison Center is home to 33 working artists who will welcome attendees into their studios throughout the 6 to 10pm opening.
