n an unprecedented undertaking, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre (GHDT) will present the World Premiere Musical, LA CASA AZUL. Featuring a large cast of singers, actors and dancers, LA CASA AZUL is a completely sung-through musical based on the life of Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo’s life is one of inspiration as she was able to overcome numerous challenges through her art and creativity. Her struggles still resonates today and continues to teach lessons of tolerance and compassion. With original music, lyrics, costumes and choreography by GHDT Artistic Director, Gregory Hancock, additional lyrics by Kate Ayers, orchestrations by Nicholas Cline and set and lighting design by Ryan Koharchik, LA CASA AZUL promises to be a unqiue performance that you will not want to miss.
